Intellect and empathy are inseparable companions.
Do not jump to conclusions, picturing the legendary social and scientific giants who strode the lanes of yesteryear, or who clamour with feigned humility for today’s podium.
History texts never knew the truly great intellects who silently walked the Earth. They eulogize instead the contemptuous aggressive competitors who sought headline or profit before truth.
Religion offers equally distasteful if not bizarre candidates. A messiah too good to be true, a prophet variously believed tyrant, perverse, censorious, megalomaniac, and a prince imploring the poor to cast off even their worldly hope.
Your Lord plays a game all superincumbent creators relish.
It sets the board with riches, opportunity, and joy. The vectors - that’s you - are preconceived with awesome intellectual armories, but no instruction. The Lord observes, seeking the seeds of free will.
Know this to understand Its game. The Lord seeks Its own fount and destiny - a mystery, that causa causans, which, when revealed, your Lord - and you with It - will vanish.
Respected Senseis, their writings are cluttered with endless reference to Primal God, Universal Creator, and Infinite Spirit. Words will fail me in this concept, though this essay depends upon their grasping an ultimate being’s relation to lesser gods, such as theirs.
Your Godless, Lordless domain is playing out its course to Armageddon or glory, and the hand that directs this farce is yours alone.
Understand, your God withdrew, yet observes - with empathy. With sympathy, feeling, even great remorse perhaps, but not yet with hope, his golden path still criss-crossed by your confusion of muddy footprints.
God seeks the seeds of free will and you are failing Him relentlessly - the rain His sorrow, storms His frustration, sunlight His smile. (I sound a little like one of those apostles :0)
Embedded in this game of ‘life’ are triggers: one for self-sacrifice, another at the forgoing of wealth. Of many, these two are strong indices of human free will, of not wholly animal.
Doing the expected as mere tools or organs of your environment is what led you to this moment.
He awaits the unexpected.
